COMPARISON OF IMMEDIATE EFFECTS OF EXTRACORPOREAL SHOCKWAVE THERAPY AND CONVENTIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY IN PATIENTS WITH CALCIFIC TENDINITIS OF THE SHOULDER ROTATOR CUFF

Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder is a frequent disorder with an unknown etiology. It usually treated different physical therapy modalities where extracorporeal shockwave comes as new effective method. The aim study was to compare and conventional in treatment calcific rotator cuff shoulder. prospective, monocentric clinical trial involving 40 patients who were divided into two groups: group 1 (study group), 20 receiving performing exercises, 2 (control received therapeutic ultrasound diadynamic currents performed exercises. Patients evaluated Numerical Pain Scale range motion joint assessed. Clinical findings before starting at end treatment. All after showed statistically significantly better results motion. Extracorporeal safe non-invasive that reduces pain improves cuff.
